Integrative Storytelling
The Six Senses
A six-part bilingual workshop series in Málaga
What can our senses reveal about the stories we carry?
Over six sessions, we’ll explore sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and intuition through sensory practices, storytelling exercises, close listening, and shared reflection.
Each two-hour workshop begins with a breathing exercise to help us arrive and settle into the space together. From there, we’ll explore the session’s sense through a guided practice drawing on contemporary medicine and traditional approaches to wellbeing. During the second half, we’ll use storytelling to follow the memories, ideas, images, and questions that emerge.
You might write, speak, listen, remember, imagine, or experiment with another way of telling. There is no pressure to produce polished work, and sharing with the group is always optional.
What you’ll experience
Across the series, you’ll be invited to:
Pay closer attention to your senses and experiences
Explore connections among sensation, memory, and imagination
Try different approaches to creating and telling stories
Discover what your experiences and stories can teach you
Listen closely to the stories and perspectives of others
Take part in a small, supportive bilingual group
No previous writing experience or specialist knowledge is needed. The workshops will move fluidly between English and Spanish according to the needs of the group.
A continuing six-part journey
The same small cohort will meet every other week for six sessions. Each workshop will focus on one sense:
Sight · Sound · Smell · Taste · Touch · Intuition
The series is designed as a complete experience, so registration includes all six workshops.
